Here is a closer look at the Graco company, its products, and the benefits of choosing Graco.

Graco’s History

Graco got its start as the Gray Company, founded in 1926 by Russell and Leil Gray in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company’s biggest product at the time was a portable air-powered lubricator. By the 1940s, the company had grown significantly, producing larger and more specialized lubricators. While providing aid during World War II, the company developed its Convoy Luber and began expanding the business with its industrial equipment division. It patented the first airless paint sprayer and expanded its manufacturing facilities, eventually moving business operations into Europe, Asia, South America, and Canada by the 1960s.

After 50 years in business, Graco reached $50 million in sales and continued to reach new sales and products records over the next decades. Its products became safer, more efficient, and more high-tech, regularly beating out competitors in the industry. By the 2000s, it had acquired PBL, Sharpe Manufacturing Co., Liquid Control and Gusmer, Lubriquip, GlasCraft and Airlessco. The company is now committed to sustainability, investment in new growth and product innovation, and expanding into new markets.

The Company’s Values, Culture, and Mission

Graco maintains a strong commitment to quality products and services, and its employees work hard to develop modern, tech-forward products that solve complex and unique challenges. It has created a culture of collaboration, celebrating success and encouraging accountability and recognition. The company is dedicated to doing the right thing by meeting core sustainability metrics and reducing its impact on the environment. It conducts business according to high ethical standards and integrity. It formed the Graco Foundation, whose mission is to support local nonprofit organizations to grow in their ability to serve community needs through grants focused on capital projects, specific programs and technology needs.
